Q:

Barrel cleaning…Vulcan 25 how often??

So I’ve been shooting since June and have probably shot 850 to 900 pellets down the barrel. I have never cleaned it…should I? and if so how often?

Eelect I have to agree with Ole Ville again as much as it hurts me to do so.

BS again. The PW has cleaning heads for different calibers. Thus you get the right amount of EVEN pressure against the bore surface, just like with a Jag.
Crown Saver … 🙂

Spare me please guys. This is the best way https://www.mac1airgunshop.com/mobile/Product.aspx?ProductCode=JLCS

…and what about boresnake? Is good or dangerous ? 😉

Take off the brass brush and it’s ok. You need to clean/wash it between though or you’ll just drag the same shit in the bore again. Go PW !
I can send you one kit cheap. Hurry up before i sober up ! 😉

AND??????? What was the result? Are you happy with it?

Hi Zonk 🙂 yes yes I have boresnake and I have had remove brass clip. I´m asking if someone use it. I´m using it sometimes. I spray Ballistol on it and do couple of times through the barrel.

Jan I’ve heard of people using the snake but after they’ve removed the little brass clip at the end. Ernest has told me he sometimes uses a cleaning rod when they’re super dirty. Some drunkin Finn got me hooked on the Patchworm and I’ve been using it ever since.

That´s good. The Vulc barrels are good and smooth. But sooner or later the building layer of lead will be too thick and the barrel needs cleaning. Use good solution for lead removal , ie Ballistol , and the process takes no time when using PatchWorm.

I don’t know why but I cleaned my barrel yesterday. Patch Worm all the way. The 1st patch had just a little grim on it, pulled it through again. 2nd patch came out clean even after pulling the felt plug through. My barrel was polished also and it seems to shoot forever before needing cleaned.

Then you ain’t getting the best accuracy either. Sorry !

I don’t clean my barrels. I have never had an issue. Maybe you should change the batteries in your crony more often you boooobs

You may need to clean more often if your accuracy depletes. When I clean my barrel it takes 3 patches to get it clean plus one with a bit of CLP. If you need more patches than this you will need to clean it more often. I polished my barrel so it will not foul up as quick and cleans in a jiffy too. I did a light polish not nearly as heavy as my cricket barrels.

Zonk, eelect and Ville, Thaks for your reply. I have 25 cal and cleaned yesterday, 15 or 20 patches. Shooting AA 25 gr and will clean every 350 shots. Thanks for your help. :4:

You´ll know when you´re due cleaning. It will start to spread and change the POI . Some pellets are dirtier than others and since i went to Air Arms i doubled the time between cleanings to around 300 shots. Mine is a .22. The bigger the bore the more frequent cleaning needed.
