Q:

Barrel sealing during installation

I was wondering if after a barrel change need to use a kind of sealing method instead of a tight fitting inside the breech.
The metal to metal attachment seems to me very unsatisfactory, because I have the impression that the air pushes the pellet may escape between bronze shim and barrel.

Ok…Let me explain.
Actually it is a AA s510 barrel and i haven’t got an idea if it is similar to other guns but sure seems to me like Loguns solo one, according the image that i found around the web.

As you can see there is a brass or bronze part(i m not sure what kind of material might be)which it fits inside the breech(Looking inside the breech i thought that it was a shim but finally it wasn’t after i took it off).
The barrel in the middle is without the brass part. The barrel at the bottom is with the brass part installed.
Also…Yes…I know.. there are to o-rings .
One inside to the pellet filling port and another one outside the brass thing….but…i am not sure about the way the barrel seals to the brass barrel end with port, while it came throught the breech.
Maybe it is my imagination but after disassembly the barrel i noticed something like varnish around barrels edge surface, and make me think that was probably for sealing.
At the begining i unscrewed the two grubs screws at the top of the breech and slightly twist the barrel as I pull.
The fact it was removed hard enought makes me think more….
By the way….barrel it comes out separately(without brass edge).
There is another one grub screw and keep it in place inside the breech.

metal to metal.. bronze shim????

don’t quite understand what you’re talking about…. there are orings inside the breach that seal it to the tophat and barrel, post up some pics of what you have going on… it’s obviously something custom
