Battery babble and bigger better lights

First a little battery babble and how it relates to our IR nv lights!

At this time I thik all custom ir light makers are using the oslon chip..period all of them. t20,t66,501b..ALL IR LIGHTS!

The oslon chip eats 1000ma so one would think a 5000ma 18650 battery should last 5000/1000= 5 hrs run time..and you would be correct!
But it does not work that way..1.5hrs.is about it.
here is why
The battery makers all rate the batteries at a lower drain..less than 1000ma
The above 5000ma battery may well last 10 hrs at 500ma or 20hrs at 250ma 5000/500=10hrs 5000/250=20 hrs
Many batteries just can’t handle the high 1000ma drain that we need for our lights

This guy did a nice comparison chart..and at 1000ma drain(our lights) is included

If your looking to buy batteries, might as well take advantage of this guys ihard work.

Siimply put…the further the BLUE BAR is off to the right the better!

Ok on to whats new and state of the art in IR lights

Mod 1) Dedoming the silicon lens
The oslon black chip we all use, already has a silicon lens on it
This is a mod where you cut it off and this gives your light a 30 percent or so tighter beam

Mod 3) Lens doublers
The goal is to get away from big monster 66mm lenses, and instead use a second smaller lens to get the same results.
