Looks like a bad capacitor for the motor. Starting a compressor under pressure can cause too much of a starting draw and cause the capacitors to go bad.
Unplug and open the top of the controller box and look inside. If there is anything packed in there, CAREFULLY pull it out so you can see the capacitors (they look like soda cans). Be careful not to touch any of the electrical connectors inside since capacitors store a big amount of power and can give you a very nasty shock. If you see anything that looks like molten plastic coming out of one of the cans, you have a burnt out capacitor.
There will be numbers on the side of the can to make sure you get the right one(s) when replacing. If you don’t feel comfortable doing electrical work, please take it to a motor specialist.
Once you get your motor repaired, make sure that your compressor is depressurized before starting so you don’t have this problem again.
