Bay Area (SF) airgun ‘Fun Shoot’ coming up….
Gentle friends,
At the range in Concord California, Diablo Gun Club is having their four times a year ‘airgun Fun Shoot’ in ten days (Sunday, the last day of August). This is not to be missed unless absolutely necessary. We have 15 lanes on a ‘multi use’ range, out to 200 yards. Guys will be bringing knock down (Field) targets, spinners of all kinds, cans and (plastic) bottles, water balloons, old stuffed animals, CDs that don’t play, bell targets, the ever-popular ‘shaving cream target’ (shoot through the hole in the shield) plus whatever you might bring. Some of us will no doubt amuse ourselves (yet again) by shooting the larger chips of clay birds that carpet the range. Some guys even shoot at paper targets on cardboard boxes set to whatever range they wish.
The chips of clays make it easy to see where your pellets hit, making this a great time to try your gun out at different ranges.
Eye protection is required, but since there’s no firearms, hearing protection is not. There’s usually several young shooters as well, always a good sign. Good fellowship with good folks.
Tony will be brining out his Caswell ‘arcade target system’, and no doubt some truly fine airguns for folks to try. There were four of us shooting out Talons and Condors at Livermore today, we’ll be there so there will be at least four AF guns and no doubt a big bore or two to try. So, fill your air tanks, lay in some pellets, mark your calendars, call your friends and make plans to join us:

The fun starts at nine (some will be there a little early no doubt) and usually ends mid afternoon. The range we use is ‘up the hill’ past the firearms ranges, before you get to the trap and skeet fields.
I hope to see you there and meet some of the faces to go with the names.

Doug, I was just informed that Tony I. will not be at the fun shoot π So you will need to bring some cool guns to shoot π
