Q:

Beeman Spring compressor tool

Made this for a freind based on the wood version he had made.

Its to make it easier to use a spring compressor with a Chinese Beeman springer.

Got to play with some G-Code and write something to do repeat passes….

… simple part, but finally made something for someone else with my Mill !

Walt,

thanks for the offer – I have a big stair tread I use as a compressor. This thing is for someone else though and I dont plan on using my compressor any time soon (I only made it to replaced the spring in my RWS 54).

Rhoder,

I thought about programming the CNC to make the clean up pass, but it was 1am when I was making this and I had to get to sleep before I went to work at 4am.

YN, I have a springer compressor that I bought off the yellow awhile back. Never had a chance to use it, yet, still brand new. If you need to borrow it, give me a holler.

aloha,
walt

Looks a lot better than mine I made for my chinese beeman. I used Delrin and cut the long passes with a bandsaw. Without one of these, you won’t get one of those apart.

Good work YN!

To get rid of the smeared chips, try making your last pass as a “climbing” pass, cutting about 2 thou. Makes all the difference in surface finish.
