Q:

Been any talk on here about plactic mags. yet

I have only saw references to them coming in a few posts but has there been any conversation regarding preference. I have been in the plastic injection molding business for 35 years so I pretty much know the in’s and out’s on thermoplastic polymers. With that said I am not sure what to think on this topic myself.

I feel funny about paying $2000 for a gun with plactic mags and am not sure I will until we can see them. I suspect Ed is ahead of the game and they will be very nice though. With that said I have custom AR15’s that cost more than that and my preferred mags are the Magpul P-mags and the ” P ” stands for” plastic ” as most of us know so I am going to do as Ed says and put prejudices aside and just shoot them, hopefully enjoy a good price point and stock up as soon as they prove out a little. I do however remain in hopes that both will always be available though.

What do you guys think. ???

I would honestly prefer metal mags like we have now. ED sells current metal mags in Russia for 800 rubles = $25

I dont think it will cost much to ship them here. And I dont see why they cant be sold here for same price of $25. I would gladly buy bunch of them at that price.

I dont think it is necessary to make them out of plastic.

But as far as I know ED said they will be made out of same material as pressure rods and will have metal insert in them.
