BEGINNER SEEKING ADVICE ON CONDOR.

I am a rank beginner at this…so I am hoping that some of the senior members will be able to provide me with some guidance.
Question 1:
What level of tuning can be done to a Condor without invalidating the warranty?
Question 2:
Lasers…Aimshot Green laser?
Which mounting style?
Can the Aimshot be mounted as the AF Laser?
Question 3:
Scopes…OMG…can of worms here…
Buy it once…get it done…end of discussion!!!

ok…when all the dusty settled in my mind…I bought and Bushnell Elite 6500…compared to the Air Force Scope…hOOLLEE sHEET…..
So the advice was correct…

Yep, they’re REALLY expensive. Heard good to great stuff about them, but my wallet just ain’t that fat. Really good scopes can be had for much less.

You could look at Bushnell, Leapers, Nikko Sterling Nighteaters for a start, these 3 brands cover alot of what members own here, and are happy with them. Many, if not all of these will focus down to 10 yrds or so, with the exeption of some Bushnell models. The price range isn’t bad either for most of these brands. $200.00 or less for most of them. Much of it depends on how much magnification you want, and what model/brand.

What scopes do people use to focus down to 10 yards or less?
I like to target shoot and dispense rats.
I am sure this subject has been covered a 100 times and people are quite bored with the subject. I apologize for that.

AO allows you to focus for parallax error. If you take a scope with a non adjustable parallax it will be preadjusted by the factory for 50 or 100 yards. Which is no good for airgun ranges.
To see for yourself what I mean… take a scope with a non adjustable objective and set it down, or clamp the rifle still. If you’ll look through the scope and move your head side to side, you’ll see that the intended target behind the crosshairs is moving. This is enough error to screw up any amount of precision.
Look at a target at 50 or 100 yards with the same scope and it won’t be movnig… because it is parallax adjusted at that distance.
Rather than contend with clearity (and placing your eye in exactly the same position each time to battle parallax), it’s simpler to get an adjustable objective.
Also, since airguns shoot at shorter distances, make sure whatever scope you get will focus down to 10 yrds or so. Some scopes will not focus down that far.
Ajustable Objective is required for an airgun scope, because we shoot at targets that are so close.
Most scopes are made for long distance targets, so we muct get an “AO” scope for shooting at our puny ranges.
The settings on your AO scope has markings that may be close, I go with whatever setting lets me focus on the crosshair and the target at an unknown range.
