Q:

Benjamin Pump ???

I know everybody favors the Hill or FX pumps. Does anyone have any bad experiences with the Benjamin pump?

Thanks

Ever since reading about pump faliures I have been quite paranoid about my AF pump. How ever the Airforce Pump was made by Logun/FX.
It is damn near identical to FX current 3 stage, now surpassed by the new four stage. I am waiting for Jeff to show his rebuild pics and how to thread.
http://talonairgun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13619&highlight=pump I would also like to clean and lube my pump correctly obviously not to damage the seals. This would be the only things to worry about so far.
I have used my AF pump many times to top off from 2k to 3k but never from empty. It takes an average of 10 pumps for 100 PSI and true to another post seen here about 15 full pumps to reach the tank pressure. Great for checking remaining pressure.

I did a lot of researching about hand pumps before I bought one…they ALL have failures to some degree..as is true of anything that is man-made. From all my surfing, looking, reading, etc., it appeared to me that Benjamin had a higher failure rate than the others all put together 😯 😯 And on the other side of that “same coin”, I know of somee guys that have Benji pumps that use the hell out of them day in and day out… I know one thing,,,you rarely hear of a HILL or an FX pump having issues….this from all the info I could find available…just my $0.02 worth ..YMMV!!

Same pump as the airforce pump like Jeff said different decals

From pics on PyramydAir it looks like the same pump as the Airforce but with a different sticker and fill adapter.
