There’s a difference between a shroud and an aftermarket moderator.

A shroud is a long tube that replaces the factory shroud that sticks out of the frame. A moderator is a slide-on, or screw on extension, attached to the end of the factory shroud, usually about 7.5″ long, to further quiet your pcp.

If you are replacing the factory shroud then the new shroud may have it’s own custom baffles, so the factory baffles would not be needed.

If you are attaching a moderator to the end of your factory shroud, then most shooters leave the factory baffles in.

I noticed with the stock condor SS if you take the end cap off there are baffles in the tube around the barrel all the way almost to the end cap . Do you remove one baffle to install an aftermarket shroud ? Or do you leave all baffles in ?

Neil clague makes excellent shrouds and ldcs

I don’t know…but I just ordered a 6 inch moderator from TT 😆 ….for my .25 TSS 😆

GTBJ or Scott has told me to let people know he is not making shrouds anymore unless he comes back stating differantly. Doug makes shrouds, Dyotat100, the wait maybe longer then you are willing though.

how is the best way to get a hold of GTBJ ? any email addy you have for him or contact number ?

GTBJ (Get The Blue Jay) GTBJ is is forum name and he makes a very very very quiet moderator of any length you want.

Hint: It’s best to go at least 7.5″ to achieve maximum quiet. If it’s for a AF, you can go somewhat shorter by venting the back of the shroud.

PS: If Scott’s busy, Neil Clague on the Yellow also provides some real good equipment. Either way, you can’t go wrong.
