He said 9-10, guess that makes mine 8-9. A big difference in the field. I have had a 10lb gun in the field and it was a nightmare. Just speaking from real world experience…

quote ElmerFudd:

Looks like it has a titanium reservoir. It’s a hard metal to get a nice anodized finish so I wonder if they were able to overcome that. The P12 also has a titanium reservoir and the finish wasn’t great and the ping was incredible! Albeit mine wasn’t regulated and probably made the ping worse. This being a bullpup forum, most guys might not favor rifles/carbines as much. It has some interesting features like a full shroud that most bullpups doesn’t have. I can see why Manny likes it though. It’s practically a gun designed for him and his uses. A 10# gun to him is like a 6# gun to the rest of us. He can probably hike 5x as far as us keyboard jockeys.

When I had the .357 Slayer in my hands it had zero PING, also lighter than a Cricket .25 and waaaaay lighter than a Cricket .357

quote Cricket:

3,97 kg. That is 8,76 lb

That’s with Atlas PSR bipod and SWFA 12×42

There you go, that’s 9 pounds right there,….what are you crying for than :biggrinn: :biggrinn: 8.76 sooo much lighter than 9 pounds, dumfuck ……. :biggrinn: :biggrinn: :biggrinn: :biggrinn:

Now its got my interest, if its got good shot count from what looks like a really nice big air tank. Ti or whatever, the Ti would be something more safe and I bet its been destructive tested well past 8000 psi also… So, you could play with a higher fill pressure if you wanted… 🙂

The ping if its got one is just something for those of us gear heads like myself to figure a fix for and share with the rest here.

The weight is an issue for me, but one you could deal with by putting a different ar butt stock than the PRS…
Those are great stocks, but intended for the sniper, marksman or surgeon shooter who is setup with a heavier style rifle to begin with. They allow a more repeatable cheek and shoulder placement for the same poi per shot. They are the bomb for that, but with the added weight penalty 🙂

So, you can choose other butt stock’s that are less than half the weight. I want it quite, regulated and adjustable in its energy level for the different pellets that I might shoot from time to time…

They mentioned another area that with other manufacturers haven’t done, their magazine is ready to lock and load the poly tip predator’s… Got to love a manufacturer that has thought of this. I might never shoot them, but I could if I wanted to. Playing around with these, say like way past where the sound barrier is broke and you get the sonic crack, the predator’s are fun to mess with, long ad you got the power to really burn them; and of coarse load them from your magazine 🙂

That would also mean in the .22 version you could shoot the EJ Domed 28.4gr pellets. They don’t shoot well through all barrels but if your lucky enough to get one that does, well lets just say they bring the thump to the poi. They are not the nice more soft lead alloy, but setting up to pick off prairie dogs, those are really good head shot ammo, if you can shoot them…

So, its got my interest in their bullpup .22 or .25… I had not seen anything on these before, so thanks for sharing…

Best gun out there ? , 9 to 10 lbs. scoped , for me too heavy

How heavy is your cricket with scope and bipod ?

Best gun out there ? , 9 to 10 lbs. scoped , for me too heavy to carry in the field for hunting since when hunting one could walk
more than a mile to find game to shoot . They say quiet but never shoot it in video to show you their definition of what they
interpret as quiet . Butt stock to me could be made not as bulky , looks more fitting for an AR rifle than a PCP gun . I like a gun
that has power , but , I do not care to carry a gun that is heavy and loud like a B.A.R. to hunt with . From what I see from this
video I’m not impressed and really do not care for this gun . They really need to make a better video and give the viewer a better
feel for this gun . :2cents:

They have the same gun with wood stock, 1st class wood stock at that too.

it’s a 7 pounds gun, how many guns out there less than 7 pounds ?

the buttstock is just an option, any AR furniture will do.

Heavy and loud ? …where do you came out with that kind of stuff ? the Slayer was the lightest and by far the quietest 275 FPE gun I’ve ever seen

I had the fortune to field test a Slayer when they first came out, I shot just about every high end brand out there and the way this guns are built is superior to any of them in many respects, if you haven’t had one in your hand than I’m afraid you won’t know 😉 😉

Hey Manny, thanks for posting this! I’ve been following these guys for a couple years now and it looks like they’re about “there”! The very first thing I saw bay back when they started doing videos of their prototypes were that they were LEFT HANDED!!! Bein’ a lefty, I see things like that and at the time, I was shooting a cricket… I’m ready to get that side lever out of my cheek weld!! Likely have one of these babies soon as I can make it happen.
