Big Bore 909 question
Just got my 909 today and I can’t waite to give her a go. Something that I have noticed is when I pull back on the bolt the action isn;t very smooth, it seems dry. Are they like that ? I wonder is I gave a small blast of dry graphite compound into the bolt action area if that would help or be ok ?

First thing to check is that the cocking lever is fully screwed down into the hammer nice and tight. If it’s a little loose, there will be a little bit of play in there that you may not notice when pulling the lever back, but it will be more difficult due to lost leverage.
My 909’s cocking lever broke, and it was probably like that for awhile before I noticed. It was much harder to pull back like that, and actually canted the hammer enough in the tube to grind it against the tube wall. Messed it all up.
I got a new cocking lever, and it’s all fixed up now. Very easy to pull back, and smooth. I think it’s shooting harder now that I camo’d the gun LOL!
