Billet Trigger Guards
With Mother Day, more like weekend, and just returning from vacation I was finally able to get back into the shop and get some work done.
These are the Billet Trigger guards I am currently making, barstock is more accurate but “Billet” sound tougher 😀
It starts off as a bar of 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ 6061 Aluminum and I cut away everything that does not look like a trigger guard. Some of these will have a slanted bottom and a few will be straight.
I just wanted to give a little update as to what was on the menu currently.
And this is where I went on vacation.

After some mill, bandsaw and sander time I was able to finish up the trigger guards this morning. I put them in the tumbler with ceramic cones and just took them out.
I hate making these but they do make the gun look great.
