Bipod for Condor
Which would be a good bipod for the Condor . I am told the Air Force bipod is not very sturdy ? Also the Harris Bipod is twice the weight of the Air Force bipod – is this true ?

Oh yeah and as far as pellets go the one that everyone is having the best luck with is JSB’s mine seems to enjoy JSB kings in a .25

Hey Charliew welcome to TAG the best couple of things that I can suggest that you might want to pick up is a new top hat from Talon Tunes I’ve heard a lot of great things about it (waiting for mine to come in the mail) the other thing I would suggest is that if you don’t have a spin loc tank get a talon tunes tank adapter I have one and it works great also talk to Walkonking and get yourself a wokgard 15 then you can put on an AR 15 grip the best part is they are all really easy to put on and if you have some troubles with the tank adapter there are even videos to help with the install but I am sure you will have no problems

Hi folks, new here this is my first post. I’m a little long winded. Really just reading about the condor ss 25 cal and what problems to look for. I bought a condor ss 25 cal at a gun shop in austin june 14 th. It had just arrived and was still in the shipping box. My first gun was a benjamin 22 pump rifle when I was 12. Now I’m 68. I have lots of centerfire guns and have modded a lot of them including pillar bedding, tapping for scope mounts and such, tuning triggers, recrowning and restocking, I have several aks built from parts, a mini 14 bullpup with a bedded barrel smaller gas port and buffer, so lots of time working on them. I also have some I haven’t had time to shoot yet. I do have three breakbarrel guns 177/ 22 cal.
My condor story up to now. Just got off the phone with Rachel, I think, was the very nice lady who just called me about the bipod not fitting on the lower rail properly. The swivel part of the bipod is too high and hits the lower rail so much that the clamp can’t fit in the rail channel straight. This is the second bipod I have tried on this gun. Not a big deal but a lot of wasted talk trying to resolve the issue. The first issue was a terrible barrel. When I originally got the gun there wern’t any pellets available around austin so I went online and ordered from three different airgun suppliers so that took a couple of weeks. In the meantime I decided to put the scope on and found the bipod problem so I decided I better look over what I just spent 1200.00 dollars on. I just casually looked down the bore with a borelight and saw something in the bore that looked like rust. I went to the shop and got my hawkeye bore scope and found the bottom of the bore rusted almost the whole length. I called af and told them my sad story. We decided that I would send both the barrel and bipod to them. I live halfway between austin and ft worth so that seemed better than going south then north with the parts. I called the gun store owner and told him my story and he said just return the whole thing but I really wanted to see if 25 cal high pressure was for me. After looking at the bore for awhile I decided to polish it with jb bore compound and a very fine polish (flitz) I have had for years to clean bores. Well it made the barrel look really shiney except it looked like something from the pakistani hills made on a forge. Needless to say af sent me a really nice new barrel that doesn’t seem to have any flaws that I can find. While I was setting around I decided to try the hand pump. Short story is I pumped about 20 pumps every so often for two days and finally got the tank up to 3k psi. I weigh 155 and am in good shape but this is not for me. I am now the happy owner of a ebay max air 35 that I will convert from 3k psi to 4700 psi. So now all that is left is a holding tank with a adjustable regulator and fill hose. Probably another 600.00. I also think it is cheap that the tank doesn’t have a gauge. It looks like this 600.00 gun probably will need 600.00 worth of improvements to get it as good as it can be. My 22/17 centerfire stuff looks better all the time. I am thinking what this cost would have been like on a les baer ar 1/2 moa gun and maybe a 1400.00 scope.
Gonna be reading here to keep learning though I’m pretty hardheaded once I start on something. Oh yeah noise doesn’t bother me, I live out in the country. I guess this is really just a 75 yard bird gun and will leave it at that. Seems that about 900fps is what to expect but I really want to shoot the heaveist pellets that will produce good groups. This was originally planned to be a coon, coyote, crow gun while I was setting in the deer stand. I don’t think at this point it will ever compete with the hmr 17 or my cz target 22 but maybe it will be quieter.
Suggestions appreciated.
Don’t quote me on this as I have yet to purchase an atlas bipod but this should work

Looks like you have to do a little mod work to the accessory rail on the bottom of the gun first

Hey Crazy Sniper did watch the YT videos . I am told to use an Atlas Bipod on the Condor a separate adapter is required . Is this so? Who sells these ?
I am thinking of picking this one up for my TSS I am rebuilding.
I read reviews. I never owned a AF Bipod just read reviews but the UTG was very affordable and very sturdy. I am very happy with it. I will buy another when my Bull pup is finished to use with it.
I know I’m not the biggest fan of the AF bipod (its OK don’t get me wrong) but now I am trying myself to choose between the Harris and the Atlas bipod especially after I watched this
Both have their pros and cons I’m trying to find a legitimate review of the UTG bipod. If only someone would review all 3 I’d be all set lol
Although if price is an issue (I fit in that boat 😉 ) UTG is the way to go

Yep, Jsb Kings are the top choice in our guns!
I have a Les Baer TRS. Love it. :8: I meet Les when we were both into Drag Raceing.
Half way between Austin and DFW? Me Too! 😯
