Black Acetal (Delrin) bushings
Am I wrong…or is it that as long as it’s a stable material, bushings don’t seem to care what they’re made of. been running on home-made black acetal bushings for a month or two…no stability issues I can detect. IS there some future problem I’m unaware of?
Wish everything worked out this simple:
(Talong SS)
Increased barrel length by 36%
Increased energy by 18%
Didn’t expect it to be quite so proportional.

I think about the only place you might see trouble is over a fairly quick temperature change where you were set up for gnat’s ass at >30 yards.
The plastic will change size over a temperature swing differently than the aluminum. A lot.
Then again, it might self compensate with 2 bushings and you’d never even notice.
I love working with Delrin and good sharp tools. I’m running a custom hammer I made out of Delrin right now. Great stuff!
