Black Russian
I just wanted to share my new Edgun with the rubber finish and give a short review of the new gun. I purchased this gun from Tony (TalonTunes) because the other Tony was out of the country. Tony (TalonTunes) asked me if I wanted a black or wood Edgun after I ordered the gun. I am glad he asked because I love the rubber finish. I used to own a 2.5 single shot and I really miss the easy bolt pull of that gun. This black Edgun is different than my RM3 .22, it is finished better and the action is nicer. The gun is marked .25 caliber on the action which is a departure from the old markings and the gun was made in 2014. The main difference I notice from my R3M .22 is the ease on cocking the bolt. This new Edgun feels just like my old single shot when cocking the gun. There was no break in period to get the magazine to spin easier and the bolt is buttery smooth. I dare say the Eduard is improving the Edgun’s build quality. The rubber finish is soft to the touch, the edges of the stock are smooth and the finish is nice to hold. The coating is evenly applied and it looks perfect. Good job Ed!
The gun is ridiculously accurate. To date this is the best out of the box Edgun I have bought. The gun came a little hot, it was throwing Kings at 990 fps. I got this group at that speed. I am going to turn down the HST because of noise and air consumption but these are amazing groups. This Edgun is so good I won’t waste your time with the 50 yard target.

That is one awesome looking piece of work! Excellent shooter as well! When did they change to plastic mags?

Congrats you owned one of the fewest Black Russians worldwide,
● Important hints to mention:
•Be careful of the Mild HITS, it can severely damage the stock finish.
•clean the rubber coating with a wet cotton sheet then dry with a dry microfiber one.
•avoid petroleum oil, silicone grease when cleaning your gun, ( keep the stock away )

This gun has plastic mags.
Very impressive groups! The black color keeps growing on me. I think it would be nice to not have to worry about scratches with that finish. Did that gun come with metal or plastic magazines?
That was after 50 rounds but honestly the gun was sighted in within 5 rounds and it was putting up a very tight MOA after one mag at 50 yards. I have about 100 rounds through the gun and she is still in the high 980s. I might give it a few hundred more and then start playing with the HST.
How many shots have you put thru that Black Beauty to get those tight groups and where is the fps at now?

The groups are amazing. Perfect for long range. for .25 or .30 Matador, I only hope they have made better valve stem.

“The other Tony” was at Edgun factory training in Russia, responding to all emails the selling Edguns via associates on a regular basis 🙂
You won’t be able to get your gun if “the other Tony” was not working, where do you think your Soft Touch Edgun came from?
