Q:

Bleed valve ball on Cricket?

Hey guys,
I have a leak on the bleed valve of my cricket. Slow, but consistent. I’m guessing that I have tightened the grub screw too tight and have damaged the 2.5 mm ball. Have any of you guys had this problem? Can I just order some 2.5 mm ball bearings off amazon?

Thanks guys!

That is a lot. I have the brass/black ones and use a bit of blue Loctite so they don’t move. They seem to work fine.

Great info guys! I’ve got an email sent to Ernest, hopefully I’ll get it on its way. I don’t know how many more adjustments my factory HSA can take

Thanks GKU, I really appreciate the offer, I’ll let you know if they are delayed. As far as the adjuster, I had emailed him a while back and was referred to another guy who has yet to respond. Does anyone know another vendor for a similar adjuster?

Earnest has an excellent HSA/Degasser. I just got both from him a couple weeks ago. The HSA is the one you see in the videos of his tuning and also on many cricket photos on here, the aluminum knurled knob that is visible on the back of these guns. The degasser looks the same only the probe on the inside is bigger and longer so that when screwed in, it simply opens the firing valve allowing the regulator and AT to bleed to zero pressure. It gives very good control of this process.

I live in Missouri and I got my nylon tipped set screws overnight from them in Elmhurst, Illinois. They ship immediately.

With a degasser in the US to my knowledge, no.

Someone said that AOA was out of stock.
But try and contact them the last I heard they have been selling the Imppu HST v.3.

oops, crap I didn’t respond fast enough !

Hey Matt,
If their out of stock or anything and you’re in the USA, pm me your name and address and I’ll send you some no charge.

Also, I’d get the new Imppu HST v.3 it comes with a degasser, so I don’t need to unscrew that bleed on the AT.

~ GKU, p.s. Anyone heard from Imppu lately ?

The nylon tips work great.

They are a little softer than delrin. Which isn’t an issue and they seal well.

I use them in my regulator testers too.

Perfect, thanks for the response. I’m going to order the 5 pack right now!

Thanks again’

Don’t strip it!!!! From Earnest and Dman1114 – I stuck a small wafer of nylon (cut with a punch) in there temporarily and ordered some nylon tipped set screws. Delrin is optimal but the nylon seems to work fine as well.
