Q:

Blod Valve

Who has one of these that could point me in the right direction as far as hammer weight and a spring. Tony’s valve right now shoots 990 with 43 gr .25 and the blod valve is in the 950’s. With a 3000 psi fill it won’t open the valve all the way. Thank

Standard Stealth tank which I believe are 500cc , The spring I got off Blod was quite beefy compared to my original one . I had no trouble opening 230bar / 3335 psi . Only adjustment I made to set it up was top hat and fill pressure .

Thanks. I didn’t get a spring with it. I bought it from a member on here. I’m going to order 2 springs from Leupy’s( Drummund). I have 95 gram hammer and stock spring. My stock spring has lost some of it punch. I left it cocked for 2 days by accident. Blod valve seems to be consistant and good with air. What size tank did you get those strings on? I’m using 53 ci and I probably got 20 shots from 945 to 955 with 43 gr enjin’s. My valve is not opening all the way until I get it down to about 2800 psi.

I could chow down on that for hours……

I had a .25 with a blod valve , I used a spring supplied by blod which had a small amount of pre load and an 80 gram hammer .
Heres the thread I posted with a couple of shot strings http://talonairgun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8994&highlight=
I had to start with a 230bar fill to get a nice curve and had no problem with the valve opening at that pressure .

Thanks.

Perhaps if you asked about the “Blod” valve you might have more success. 😉
