Blodnob Valve shot count?
I am pondering ways to get some more power out of my .25 Talon and I was wondering what kind of power vs. shot-count you guys get on the Blodnob valve. Anyway, are there any mods (other than a heavier hammer) necessary? I figured that I’d ask the people on this forum first because Sean seems like a busy person with all the orders and his day job…

We don’t get koons here nor is it ligal to shoot many animals (even the nieghbours cat even if it does piss on my motorcycle) but the bunny is a pest and tastes good so why not have the free meal.

Went out last night to collect dinner with a BN valve. Got to my permision and there was a group of 6 about 75-80 yards out.
Took out 4 of them at said distance all with head shots from a kneeling position before the last two trotted off.
The valve is well worth it. Not once have I had a ‘loud’ shot with my setup (BN spring, Hybrid 65g hammer & 24inch barrel) which is quite a bit weaker then the maximum output you get with his valve in conjunction with his heavyer hammer.
It’s like Hinze tomato sauce. It takes ages to get it out of the bloody bottle but it is well worth the wait.
Would not buy a different valve having used one got one and ordered another one for the other bottel 😀

I only make stuff in between working as a hobby. At the moment i work at least six days a week and dont get time.

I made one way back when i had a stealth 2000. I showed Mr Leupy one and he introduced me to this sites predecessor and gave me a kind endorsment.
The reason i made it is i noticed that no matter what you do to the standard valve that the further it opens the more coil bound the valve spring becomes. Basiclly allowing less air out the further the valve stem compressed.
All i did was put the valve spring on the low pressure side of the air behind the tophat.
They are fully adjustable for travel of the tophat from 0mm to over 5mm of travel and have a 5mm bore which can be further restricted by fitting chokes of any size.
And thats what a blodnob valve is. 😉

Just wondering what are the advantages of using a blodnob valve and just what is a blodnob valve? I currently have a .25 Condor Tony built for me and it’s plenty strong, but I’m always looking for a better mouse trap. (so to speak)
Just a stronger hammer spring. Wich i supply with the valve.
Its a new batch of springs and are a little stronger than the ones i usually carry.
If they work ok and aren’t to strong i’ll have some for sale at £7.50 posted.

Since the Blodnob valve is so tuneable, if I wanted 85 fpe, how many shots could I get, at 70fpe how many?
