Bottle Tank question

Here’s an odd question: how much do these 490cc tanks flex when getting filled? I’m just wondering. I’m going to start making a benchrest stock for a bottle gun, and am wondering how close to inlet it- I’ve only got 3″ MAX to work with. any input would be great, thanks in advance!!

well that’s good news, and a good warning! thanks guys! I’m sure I can inlet the stock close, and not have to worry about it. 😀

If a high pressure tank bulges, it is defective and must be deposed of immediately.

Even at high temperatures, the metal is formulated to not give under pressure.

I remember wondering the same thing, so when I bought my new tank I calipered it before and after and couldn’t see a bit of difference.

A micrometer might have shown a bit, but the calipers didn’t.
