Bottom feed Magazine
I was just wondering if it would be feasible to make some sort of bottom feed magazine for pellets. They do this in Airsoft rifles and all real semi auto rifles. I know that that Airsoft uses round BB’s so it works a little differently. The only drawback I see to making it functional would be that pellets are typically lead and deform/damage easily. The pressure from the spring might deform the pellets. Let me know if this has been tried before or why we don’t try and develop some sort of feed mechanism. Might not specifically be for the Airforce rifles, but maybe for a new prototype.

I’m almost certain now that this product is just vapor ware. Perhaps it was done for marketing research, maybe just some elaborate hoax. Either way I don’t think they’ll ever hit the market. I would buy one of those if you could adjust the rate of fire like machine guns and set it down to around 750 otherwise you might as well load bbs into a sand blaster and call it “full auto” like they often do on youtube.
There is a guy on youtube who made a fullauto one with a mag like that. He was going to sell it but never has.

I think the main issue with a bottom fed mag. is, all the junk normally built into the mechanism under the barrel.
I took a more straight forward approach and used a auto index magazine made by Benjamin Marauder .177

Sorry, but when my old mind thinks of magazines I see them feeding from the top of the mag, albiet into the bottom of the gun, except the British Bren which was upside down to normal mags and fed while inverted.
I think that the fact that Condors and Talons have the valve and gas supply originating in the rear instead of a gas oprt in the barrel would mean a complete new design to get a magazine to work.
But if it is ever done, the great minds on this forum will do it.

I was mainly talking about a typical bottom feeding magazine like most semi auto rifles. Is there an air rifle out there that uses one? But, in the case above for the air force rifles, wouldn’t just making a newly designed breech with push rod be fairly easy.
RIM, Which is a manually indexed magazine that drops a pellet into the loading port of a 2240 type airgun then the bolt probe pushed it into the chamber. It holds 8 22 caliber pellets or 10 177 I believe.
It is difficult to attach or develope a magazine for the Air Force rifles due to the fact that the breech has no probe to push the pellet into the barrel.

That is the one bananaman. I suspect your right and it will never see production. It is clearly a modernised version of the one riverside posted. The plans are freely available for that one and it works well. I suspect some of the guys on here could make a similar gun. No reason it could not be a select fire weapon. Raid of fire could easily be slowed if you wanted via increased bolt mass or a damper if that is what you are after 🙂
