Bought a co2 fill station today …
My new co2 Talon is due to arrive on Monday or Tuesday so I went to a local welding supply shop to fill both of my extra co2 bottles.
Welding shop offered me what looked like a good deal on a bulk filler of my own for $ 35.00 brand new in the package. He used to do paintball stuff but is getting out of that business. I also bought a slightly used 10 pound aluminum co2 tank from him for $ 105.00 filled.
Refills he said are $ 12.00 for the 10 pound tank and that is much cheaper per ounce than the $ 3.50 he charges me to refill 12 ounce bottles.
Let’s see if I can get a pic to come up … wondering if I got a good deal or not.

Yes, I got my first tank at AirGas, I specifically asked for a siphon tube tank, and said it was for paintball. They sell me the tank, I go home, and couldn’t fill my bottles worth a damn. Call them up and they say “Oops, sorry… we gave you the wrong tank, just turn the tank upside down.”
Yeah… right. I said that was BS and had to go back to exchange for the right one.
be sure to find out if your bulk tank has a siphon tube or not. Most bottles which were inservice with fountain drinks or bars, do not have a siphon tube and must be used upside down in order to fill with liquid co2. If you fill from a tank without a siphon tube in the upright tank position, you will be filling your tank with gas only and will severly reduce your shot count.
Also, you will get more complete fills if your fill hose is of the minimum length which is practical.

Got it to work. Here’s my fill station. One more note, don’t open that valve to fast when filling, open more gradually. And if you have a on/off valve on your bottle, as opposed to a pin valve, remember to shut the on/off on bottle OFF before opening the bleeder valve on tank lol. That’s some wasted gas there eh. My set up is a bit more tricky since i’m filling much smaller 3.5 oz bottles, I REALLY have to fill gradually because they fill so quick.

On one tank, use a two valve unit that runs like yours. On the other, use a make-shift one-valve unit (base is the bulk fill system that comes with the AR2078).
Ended up using two tanks becasue of the way my local gas supplier works…drop the tanks off one day, pick them up the next. I can’t always get there for a week.
On the PCP side, can walk to a dive shop if I need to (would be a 4 mile walk there and back)….but so long as TV is crap and I have a pump, seldom make that walk.

Your fill station looks very similar to mine, which I got at a paintball store. I tried to post a pic of it on my tank but photobucket is giving problems right now. Anyways, yes, if you put the bottles in the freezer for at least 20 min it will fill much easier, in fact, if they are to warm, they may fill partially if at all. The scale is good to have as well, under filling is less shots, and overfilling is no good either.
Weigh your bottle on the scale empty, then add that weight to whatever oz of c02 your bottle holds. Look for that total weight when filling on the scale for a accurate fill of c02.
I’ve already got an accurate digital shipping scale for seeing how much co2 I am putting into each bottle. Can it really be this easy ?
It seems well built … he even gave me 3 extra seals to go with it.
He showed me how to operate it … do I put my 9 and 12 ounce tanks in the freezer to get a good fill ?? Seems like a better idea than chilling the tank with co2 like he showed me to do … that way is wasteful of the gas.

I was given (at my asking) 2 20lb aluminum tanks a couple years ago, both for soda fountain. I made a wall bracket which holds the tank at waist level with the valve facing down. Works good and can’t beat the price on the cylinders. Cost me 12 bucks each last time they needed filling.
