Bought this today
AA HC .177″ (MkIII)
Walnut stock.
I went to the store because the guy I called told me he had a new TX200 (with the longer barrel)Anyway I was pissed off after a half hour drive down the M-way to discover he only had this second hand one.
But it’s in as new condition,I don’t think it’s had 100 pellets through it,it’s got the plastic moderator insert too.

black thing just below and behind the loading port?
its a bear trap release thingy….should be able to save your finger in case the trigger lets go while loading….

Yep,used.I’ve been over it in detail and I’m still finding traces of factory pres grease.None of the screws have been touched until now,I’ve lightened the trigger pull.The stock is unmarked.Got out into the field between showers and shot 20 pellets at 30 yds,it just piled them all on top of each other.Can’t wait until a bit of dry weather to shoot some paper groups at 40 yds. 😀

most spring rifles where you poke your finger down into the breech has some kind of antibeartrap device…..
i got a b40 which is a clone of the tx200….and i wouldnt rely on that trap catching the breech closing should that happen….but it will save you from some of the stupid moves that might hurt your finger…like puttin a pellet in there and hit the cocking arm at the same time…then it works…but should all the springs force all of a sudden be let loose i wouldnt trust it…..
bet thing is to hold the cocking arm while you have finger(s) near anything that might snap closed with fingers in there….be it a breakbarrel, or breech loader…..holding the cocking arm will also prevent the cocking arm from slamming into the barrel or the barrel swinging close and bending it
the rws 46-52-54 has anti beartrap device allso…prolly more rifles do, that i just dont know about
