Q:

bounsing(?) hamer????

Hello,
I’ve got a question;

Someone send his condor to me , with the following problem.
He s got :
a 22 inch 5,5mm barrel
and a leupy’s hammer (hybrid) 65 grams
and a leupy’s stronger spring.
And a blodnob valve.

When all these parts are in the gun and when you try!! too shoot .
The breech slams backwards(when the hammer hits the breech , it first opens the valve and at that time the breech AND hamer slam back a cm orso) after the shot is fired so al lot of air escapes between tophat and breech.
AND the frame of the condor wears out around the breechnob 😕

Is there any one who has an idee what the problem could be?

greets from robert from the netherlands

Ahaa
well the 0-rings are new, But I’m gonna make a new breech for him .

And the small plastic washer around the cocking bolt is smashed to nothing ! so the breech really hits hard on the frame .

So hard that even the breech nob(thread) wears out in 3 or 4 shots!!

But , you (both) realy think that the breech isn’t air tight?
well thats one thing I have to make than .
Another good reason for playing with my lathe 😀

Tomorrow first I’ll have to make a new tool for the cutting a O-ring sleeve in the new breech .
After that, I keep you posted !!!!!!!

And the blodnob valve ,will still open on the original hammer spring?

Thanks !!

Install a standard hammer spring. Put a small plastic washer around the cocking bolt where it meets the frame. Decrease tension on the power wheel. Put in a new 90 duro oring on the valve side of the breech to make a tighter seal.

That might do it.

Are the o-rings intact?
