Brand new custom bolt for the Haley 257 Scandalous

I have been wanting one of these for a long time, but never had the money to get one until I sold my Rapid. 😆

Actually I was shooting yesterday afternoon from the bench and I pulled on the hammer bolt to cock the rifle and it broke off in my hand.

I ended up having to cut a slot in the broken peice left in the hammer with a Dremel cut off tool, so I could remove it with a screw driver.

I thought about calling Jack Haley to see if he had an extra one laying around, but with the problems Jack and Reba have right now, me not being able to cock my BB gun is not something I wanted to bother them with.

I sent Doug a PMG with the story and a picture and told him I would buy a 1/4-28 bolt at a hardware store to replace it. Less than 20 minutes after sending the PMG I got a phone call, it was Doug out in his shop askind for exact dimensions so he could make one.

That man is a a Saint. No other way to describe Doug.
