Q:

Brass valve removal

Hi all, I’m wondering if anyone knows of a tool to remove the ” What I call it the brass cap that holds the valve” has 2 small holes on it?
I also need to basically rebuild the inside of this. Does anyone have parts to do a complete rebuild? Thought I would ask here before calling AF. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Kip.

Thanks I’ll give it a try.

I did it myself , here is how:

make sure the tank is empty, then take a punch chisel the size of the holes in the brass, then with a small hammer, hammer the holes alternatively in a counter clockwise direction.
The tank must be held in a vise during the operation.

When reassembly it , smear the threads with silicon grease.

Good luck
