Q:

Breach

Hi i have a older style mk1 .22 Talon/storm i have upgraded it with new parts, barrel, shroud, hammer, spring, breach now this is where im having the problem (the breach) its made from Aluminium and after cocking the rifle i have to fiddle with he breach to get it to sit on the tophat , and even after that i find its very loose and even slides back and forth.

This is a new breach someone made me , how can i rectify this or will it need a new breach ? Is it better to go back to the Delrin standard breach will it be suitable with the uprated spring ?

Cheers Mark

Cheers Thank you.

Mark

AF sells them. I think they are around $20.

cheers where can that be bought ?

Yes but you will need to get the spin loc conversion for older frames. It has a clip to keep the collar from pulling thru.

Thank you i have re-installed the Delrin breach all good just need to sort muzzle noise down ,

Also while i am at it with this been a mk1 frame it has a grub screw that holds the collar for the bottle under the trigger housing, will it be ok to re- drill/tap new hole on the side of the frame to save me removing the hand grip ?.

Many thanks Mark

Yes. Nothing works better then a delrin breech. If it was made right it would work but they tend to make it harder to cock and metal on metal isn’t the greatest.
