Q:

Breaking in the .30 Edgun (graphic)

This gun shoots pretty good – thought I would try it out on a Coyote I saw in my backyard this morning.

Shot between 40 to 45 yards distance. Body Shot – could not get a good head shot thru the brush and the stump it was digging around.

Hopefully the pet cats in the neighborhood can sleep a little better tonight.

Excellent shooting there :D, that is one pretty yote for sure

They also work on my Honda Civic. πŸ˜‰

Thanks fellas for the info. I saw a custom brass one on a video. But after I saw this thread I will definitely go with the nylon plugs

SECoda gave me this idea and it works great: Hillman Nylon Hole plug. Order it online and have it shipped to your store for free then go to customer service and pick it up. I had a hell of a time trying to find it in the hardware section when I went so I went home and ordered it. I went to the right place but they didn’t have it.

Whoa! Nice! What probe cover are you guys talking about? What I mean is what do I look for at the hardware store?

Sweet! I better start looking for my foxpro Ecaller and get new batteries too! πŸ˜‰

They are in the hardware section at Lowes. Automotive fasteners tray. Honda fasteners for the hood plastic parts. Two in a pack. Many of the same fasteners elsewhere don’t snap in correctly like at Autozone or OReilly’s.

Nice shooting. It’s great to see a coyote taken with a Standard 30 cal Matador. Did he break dance much? 😯

Looks like you need a $1 probe hole cover from Lowes.

Your right about the probe cover – good catch. I have one on the .25 long and am trying to find the extra one that came in the 2 pack bag originally – guess I will just have to go down to Lowes and get another one.

The coyote didn’t do the death dance like a raccoon does. Instead it yelped and ran about 50 yards before it laid down for the last time.

You can always find a Politician of some kind to train your shooting skills on. 😎

Great kill!

Man I wish I have something like those lurking around in my green belt here in Seattle. … yeah not going to happen.

Holy Mama ! 😯

I donΒ΄t much care about them pet Cats but that was good work. Apparently the EdGun .30 cal has some punch.
