338 is custom. 375 is custom also but in accurate catalog.

338 is shooting 165 gr at 995 fps.

Here is a pic of shooting clays pigeons at 400 yds. Hit 4 in a row

I would go for .495″. I try to make the barrel .080″ larger then the bore. Seem to work good so far. You will need to turn it down for power wheel I think also.

I just dropped a .375 barrel in my 308. Makes 400 fpe on 3400 psi with 208 gr bullets. Thats on my 338 size valve. Could probably make 450 fpe or so once I make a proper size valve for it. The recoil is pretty bad on this thing and it sounds like a cannon

Doug? What molds are you using to cast up bullets for the .338 and .375?

Thanks, Rick

Great, Thanks for the advise

Hello, I just got a .416 rifled barrel, OD is 0.692, what will be the best OD recommended ?(I plan to convert my 2nd condor) It doesn´t have a lot of metal to remove but needs a lot of new built pieces due to new; It seem s like a great holiday challenge.

Ok, thanks for the note

You want the barrel to be .370″-.374″. The smaller the better. 12 mm is to big. Might work but if you turn it up to shoot slugs it will tank dump.

You want the barrel as thin as possible. That is why when you put a .177 barrel in a .25 condor you have to put a stiffer spring in the valve or it will tank dump.

Hello, I converted my Condor to .30 as you plan to do, turned down the barrel to 12 mm, it works very well. Already looking for another barrel for my 2nd condor. Good luck and enjoy your rifle
