Q:

Broke down and ordered a Talon today and…

Over the past few months I’ve been shooting my 2400 more and more. It’s a .22 and I’m a little disappointed with it past 15-20 yrds. Chews up CO2 carts too fast with the adjuster cranked and no umph with it turned out. My answer was going to be a Mac1 AS2250XT with a longer match barrel and Tim’s power and accuracy prep and adapter to run it off a standard 9oz CO2 tank. Problem was that this came close to the cost of a Talon (co2 version from PA = $405) so I kept delaying trying to figure out which way to go.

Today I decided – 2nd Talon!

Fate was on my side. They had the gun in stock but the CO2 adapter was out of stock. I was in no hurry so I hit the button.

THEY called ME.

Mr. Jeff they said – The CO2 adapter is out of stock can we split your order and send you the rifle? We’ll ship the CO2 adapter (no charge for the extra shipping) when it comes in.

So the brain spins a few times…. 1st thought was why would anyone want a ‘co2 rifle’ early if they had to wait for the ability to use it??? 2nd thought – I don’t need the CO2 adapter at all, I have a an unused spare and two air tanks. We chat for a while and she agree to sell me the rifle WITHOUT a CO2 adapter… gave me a $90 credit on the package.

I just bought a talon from PA for $315 😯 ! 😀 😀

Of course now I absolutely must stop buying airguns for a while. I just spent some of my EDgun money.

No kiss. Cute voice though.

I picked up the spare CO2 and an extra tri-rail even before deciding to go with the talon. Midway’s close out had the adapter at $68 and the tri-rail at $12. This will be the bargain, yet all NEW, Talon.

I’ll start this one off with the 12″ .177 barrel from my TSS but I also now have the 18″ it came with and a 12″ and 24″ .22 barrel. I think I should be able to to find the right combos to set the TSS up for my basement and backyard range and the shorter talon for woods walks at Dads property and the EDgun for the longer range on Dad’s property.

Just got to figure what shroud combo’s I need 😯

WooHoo!!! 😀 😉
