Q:

broke down cleaned and relubed my hill pump

It wasn’t as gunked up as i was thinking it would be but needed a cleaning as it would no longer pump ,i used Qtips paper towels and rags a little rubbing alcohol and it cleaned up nice .The Orings looked fine so i just relubed lightly with silicone grease and reassembled it and it works like brand new pumped from 140 bar to 190 in 25 strokes very smooth and easy . I got great service and my parts quickly from http://www.pilkguns.com/ they where good enough to include instructions and diagrams about 6 pages worth it took me a hour and 10 minutes from start to refill on my gun . It went easy for my first time

L#1 yes the check valve was where it was clogged with the most gunk . I noticed the tackyness i was going to use the white lit but tried this first .It really made a diffrence i have my new tank and waiting on my regulator .dive shop is 7 miles from the house as is cobra airguns one east one west easy fills close by.

Knot,

After nearly a year my Hill pump quit after sitting several days in front of a heat register. It was gunked up mostly in the bottom check valve. Was that where yours was gunked up the most ❓

For some reason the top valve system was very hard to get apart. Probably from the heat.

I don’t like the tacky consistency of the Divers silicone that a have so I lubed my Hill pump with White Lithium Grease like is recommended for the Shoebox compressor. If I have any problem with that, I’ll post it.

I’m no longer using my hand pumps for filling but I use the Hill pump to accurately gauge the PSI every 10 to 20 shots while attempting to find the most accurate set up for different pellets.
