Your a better man than I then Zombie.
Nice stocks Rabbits !
A Brand new BSA T-10 Scorpion from Airgun Buyer in the UK costs
£339.00 ($628.84).
AOA charge – $820
17.5% of the cost of the rifle from Airgun Buyer is VAT so the pre
tax price is actually $518.8 and is the number we should compare to
the AOA price.
It doesn’t cost $300 PER RIFLE to ship a pallet load of them to the
USA.
Airgun Buyer is making money selling these rifles for $518.80 Plus
Tax… But AOA is charging $300 more.
The Dollar has dropped against the pound, but that bears no
relevance as I’m doing the conversion in the above example.
Trust me, It NEVER used to be cheaper for me to have my Parents
buy me a rifle in the UK and ship it to me here in the States – UNTIL
AOA jacked up the prices.
But AOA take care of the warranty issues you say? No they don’t,
they will either tell you 1/ There isn’t a problem or 2/ It can be fixed
yourself (and usually involving electrical tape).
I love BSA Springer’s – I have a BSA Meteor from 1966 – I’ve only
had one experience with their PCP’s and it wasn’t what I’d hoped for
and I do hope that it was a one off .
We should all be so lucky as to one day have a monopoly on something in short supply and great demand fueld by a rabid group of cash-paying fanatics.
I’m not going to lose too much sleep over $300 in either direction…
rabbit…..wow those are are very very nice looking guns 😯
i own a s10 carbine bull barrel and it,s my second s10 and both have been great to me not had any trouble with them.i,ve been makeing stocks for alot off differat make,s off rifle,s off late and the most off them r bsa rifle,s .that must say something . here,s a s10 and a honet stock i,m just finnished both stocks for the same guy

yeah i see what you mean about AOA there making a big profit
sucks that you cant have one shipped over from airgunbuyer though
does anyone know of any place else to look for the bsa rifles preferably the Ultra should i look for other sites that will ship one over? or should i look on some forums to see?

The T-10 are nice. I shot one like zombieheadhunter has and it’s a nice hunter rig.
Damn that’s nice… accuracy, good power and great looks to boot, the 3 things most of us want in a gun. Nice shot count to. Very nice!
That is a nice looking gun.
Congratulations. I really like the stock. Good buy ZombieH
I own a Scorpion T-10, with the synthetic, tactical stock. I ordered it last october from AOA, I paid approxiimately $1100. It arrived early January, and Robert kept me in the loop as to the status of the order via email about 3-4 times during.

I’ll give you a different take on AOA, as I have no negative issues in my experience dealing with them. He told me up front that my gun needed to be custom ordered, as it is the full powered rifle version, not shrouded, but with the permanently attached moderator.
This was a different set up than what was thought to be desired of the T-10 guns sales stateside. Robert told me it would be a couple months to get it in, it was…
The price he quoted was the price I paid.
First off, BSA guns are in a class of their own. Their built like an Abrams tank. BSA barrels are legendary, and made fromt the same machine that pounded out barrels since the first world war. BSA has one guy on staff that handles all of the polishing, and the deep, lustrous bluing shows that kind of attention to detail.
The synthetic stock is a heavy unit, overmolded, and very ergonomic. It’s the sort of stock that you kind of “fit yourself into” if you know what I mean.
At a fill pressure of 230 bar, I get around 40 shots at an average velocity of 930 fps using the 16 grain JSB .22 exacts.
It is stupid accurate, and as quiet, if not slightly more so than an LD shooting both side by side to compare…
I owned a BSA S-10 and I didnt feel the quality (eg – stock had finishing issues such as painted red dot for safety looked like a 6 year old put it on etc) was there considering its their top of the line model.
I also had an issue with the S-10 being below spec power wise and even though it was very consistant with the regulator – it got less good shots on reg when filled to 3200psi than the number of consistant shots you’d get from a non regulated rifle at 3000psi.
And the final nail in the coffin would be AOA…..
I cant comment on the Skorpian or the Ultra specifically.. but I’d guess the quality would be the same.
and i didnt know that airgunsofarizona are the only place to sell them in the USA….
