BSA Sportsman HV .22 Is Back!

The Sportsman has been collecting dust for months waiting on parts…
Well, I got them yesterday and the Sportsman is back in action.
I was having some fill probe issues with the Sportsman and had to
change the port that the fill probe fits into as it wanted to pop out @
about 2,800psi during the fill… Not good…. The new part was somewhat
different than the old so it took some imagination to get the one way
valve to seal consistantly but it works great now…. I filled to 3,200psi
and found the curve to be off so I dropped it down to 3,100psi fill and ran
some chrony strings and everything looked good for 15-20 shots… The
Sportsman is not the most effiecient when it comes to using air….

Anyway, this is what it looks like on paper.

1st is 20 shots of Air Arms 16.0gr @ Avg 950FPS @ 65yds… Shots
18,19,and 20 are the low ones toward the right…. I wanted to see
exactly what the POI would do as the psi got lower through the group….

2nd is 20 shots of JSB 18.1gr @ 905FPS @ 65yds. The 2 high shots are
shots 11 & 12… Could be the peak of power in the curve or it could just
be me freaking out on the trigger…. Probably me….lol

I like it…..
It will be for sale soon as a Daystate Airwolf MCT is on the
horizon…..
