BSA Sportsman HV
Mounted a new Bushnell Banner 6-18x 50 scope- took a few snap shots. Again yes the HV is a beast- shoots JSB 18.1s at an average of 960- 10 shots inside of a dime at 30 yards. Will have access to a new range space this weekend –will measure out fifty yards and report on some groups.

Heres some crumby pics of my 50 yard groups shot last cold Sunday. Sighted in the rifle with my new Banner 6-18×50 scope- much better than what I had on there for the time being. The group that is sprayed all over the center of the bull is -10 JSB Monsters shooting MV 810-830fps -was kinda windy last Sunday -they all managed to stay on the bull. the others i’ll describe later

The second group is 10 JSB18.1 heavies- the third is 10 kodiaks -slightly different poi and fly slightly slower—the 4th is my sight in target used 20 yards for the first cross of the pellet—–sight in was crystal clear 10 shots shot one was lowest-leftmost. the last shot was about .3″ low at 20 yards–then put two more pellets thru the same hole to confirm. the last group 10 more jsb 18.1s —I shot alot of pellets that day I want to get a couple of redoo s on the monsters at 50 yards — but I think they shoot better with the pre load on the hammer spring turned up…
Hey gents, here is mine……..I dumped a Pigeon at 75 (laser ranged) yards just yesterday.

This is the thread I did on my mods. I did keep the mag retainer intact. I have finished it in flat black.

Can you tell me how i can buy a shroud,or make one myself ? I count with crony B master, the first shoot is 930 fts with eley magnum 30 grains, then any sequent shoot is abaut 6-9 fts minus.
BSA/GAMO yep thats been like that for a while now – I was kind of figuring Gamo was gonna go pcp but didnt expect that —sweet…
Gamo just released a re-badged version of the Sportsman with a Scorpion synthetic stock. It’s called the Dynamax. If you didn’t know Gamo owns BSA & have for some time.

The Wyoming location has 1 left. Their number is 307-233-3700 .
Oldgoat, try posting a wanted ad on the Yellow. Someone may be willing to part with one.
It is like going on an Easter egg hunt… It probably took me 2 months to
find 2 of them but it was well worth the time.. The last one I heard of was
in Idaho… I just can’t remember which store…. If you can find the right
manager he will do the leg work for you and make calls to other stores to
locate one…..
I emailed the guy at Sportsman’s Warehouse. He said that they were out.
Google the number for the one in Bozeman, Mt. If I recall correctly, they have one left. If there isn’t one in Bozeman, try some of the other store in MT. I visited a few this summer and saw some Sportsmans for sale.
Thats a sweet BSA….yea i dig that shroud also…I have the Lonestar, the long range accuracy is outstanding…..Love My BSA….yea its a weird cocking mech, but to be able to de-cock so easily…..I’ll take it…

Ifind the same thing with my lonestar…18’s and 21’s are great with a medium setting or a fill of 2800 or less, but bring her up to 3200 and crank the power adjuster all the way in and WHAMMO….monsters start grouping and smashing the target..
