Q:

BSA Ultra

Does anyone have a BSA Ultra multi in .22? If you do, tell me about it. how do you like it, is it quiet, what kind of power do you get out of it?

Thanks,

Rob

Simply looks. I happen to think the standard version looks better than the Bull Barrel… nothing performance wise. The BB is a bit more flexible in that I can add another silencer if I wish to make it ‘really’ quiet…

packrat, that is interesting info. I will have to go check out Chairgun Pro.

Rob3dr, why do you prefer the standard over the bull barrel?

Anyway, seems to be a sweet carbine. I am going to keep an eye open for a used one.

I’m getting roughly 30 good shots at 16fpe out of mine in .22.

Very accurate and predictable little carbine. I have the Bull Barrel version but much prefer the standard.

That’s a very sexy carbine to be sure. It does have a dinky resivior at just 75cc. Does anyone know how many usable shots it delivers?

For comparisson, the AA S410 E has a 314cc air tube. The AA Carbine has a 181cc, and the Marauder has a 215cc resivior.

Actually, 18 FPE is WAY PLENTY of stopping power…you can hunt squirrels at 45 yards with that and still have more than enough energy for clean kills……Look at this chart…

Put gun info into Chairgun Pro and it will give you FPE energy at any distance 😀
I’d LOVE to have an Ultra, to go along with my other 2 carbines….

Thanks for the video link packrat and the feed back Love my Talon SS. I was reading the info at Airguns of Arizona and they list the Muzzle energy at only 18 ft/lbs for a .22cal.?

Is that a misprint? It seems low?

Thanks

Rob

Yup 18fpe is the factory stated FAC version. No doubt you could squeeze a little more out of it, but the air tube is very small so 18fpe is probably about right, especially if you get it in .177

It is a great little riffle, a bit figgity with the cocking mech. in the front of the rifle. Other wise a sweethart to shoot.

Here’s a pretty neat video that should answer some of your questions….
