Q:

Buddy bottle … suggestions ???

I have a 4500 psi Bauer compressor … and the big Air Hog carbon fiber bottle to take care of my air needs.

My 73 year old Father has decided that he wants the Compact .25 I am putting together and he lives on the other side of the lake from me .. a 20+ mile drive one way.

He shoots at his house a lot and one Airforce bottle of air won’t last him until I can stop by to refill it for him … and I am trying to keep from having to take air to him 5 times a week 🙄 😆

I don’t like the idea of buying another Condor bottle for the .25 for him and would prefer some kind of a 4500 psi “buddy bottle” that could top off his rifle a number of times.

I want to fill this “buddy bottle” on my compressor … and when we hunt together it can top off both of our rifles.

I don’t want to buy another one of the large Air Hog CF bottles for 700 bucks and when I called Air Hog about their small CF bottles they said that they were out of stock and gave no date for when they might be in stock again.

Anyone using a small 4500 psi bottle that would fill the bill for me ??? What would I need to get in order to connect it to my Bauer .. it is set up to connect to the large Air Hog carbon fiber bottles at the moment.

TIA ! 😀

That looks like a GREAT find mam thank you ! I wonder if that will connect directly to my compressor .. at that price who cares .. if I had to buy a fitting or adapter it would be well worth it.

Will see what I can find out about that one ! 😀

I’m sorry to hear about your Father … I am dreading the day I get that call .. I’ll never ever be ready for it.

We are very close and shoot and hunt together as often as we can .. sometimes I go pick him up when I am just shopping so he can help with my selections .. any excuse to spend time together 🙂

I also know how impatient he can be and if I was to let him run out of air I would need a real good excuse .. like I was having an autopsy performed on me … before he would let me hear the end of it 😆

I think I would be way ahead in this game if I gave him the compressor 😆 😆 😆

That’s what I needed .. a clue as to what to do 😀

I’ll look for bottles in that size .. Thanks Eric !

I could keep the 44 and let him have the big Air Hog 😀

Steve, why don’t you look into getting a smaller 44cuft. tank? They are a little lighter and less bulky and should give your pops enough fills to keep him happy for a while. You can find a used one for cheap, and since you have a compressor you can find one close to expiration for dirt cheap and keep filling it on your own. DOT puts the 15 year life on them, I think the same tanks are rated for 30 in Europe. They have the same thread connection as your bigger tank.
