I gots the frame and a tank. Trying to scavenge or make the rest. Does the floor plate do anything other than be a dust guard? And how does the tank collar attach to the frame? Any other advice from builders? Thanks[/quote]

collar is retained through 1 or 2 set screws underneath, in the same slot the trigger group is in, above the rear grip.
the plate you speak of retains the trigger springs, it has to be there in some form, though ive considered making my own of stainless. the slot can be omitted if you ditch the safety.
