I chucked this together this afternoon. Hope your not offended.It’s just too much of a good design not to expand upon.
I may have the bottle behind the grip though.
Its only 17″ long and i may put the scope rails directly on the barrel as most of it sticks out of the front.
Also ive come up with a way of completley enclosing the breach when cocked. Yet to be perfected but its looking good.
Anyway, i hope it meets with your approval

well iv been thinking of making sean a tooltidy 🙂
he spends twice as long looking for tools than he does machining 😀 🙄
the work hes been doing is spot on but no way feasible as much other than a hobby using manual machines
but with a CNC setup a valve could take half an hour instead of most of a day
so heres a teaser 🙂

Thanks Riffraff. Baz takes the piss out of me cos i dont polish owt.I like to see machine marks instead of hiding them with wet n dry.He also made a frame up today with an integral silencer.( that’ll get polished)
I got every thing in order to complete my anodising tanks and it should look pretty good as i plan to course grit blast it first.
As for cost, i bet we,ve all got a spare barrel n bottle laying around. Take that cost out and the materials only come to £20- £30.It would be possible to have these retro fit for the stealth/talon using the existing barrel valve and bottle. My time is my own as i dont drink n smoke and machining is my only hobby. I dont even own a gun of my own.
I also enjoy making stuff for other folk. The extra cash is nice but i probly give as much away as i sell.
Trigger is next. I got it down to a two stage fully adjustable unit with each stage bieng housed in a seperate block. One in the grip for the first stage and the second under the sear.
I have a piece of high pressure braded hose from a paintball gun that will transfer air from front to back. ( I plan on making this one as per Camotes2, and when time allows try one with the bottle at the rear and off set to allow trigger unit positioning. )
As fo the bullpup concept, why do other “normal” guns waste a foot of space with a useless chunk of wood for the butt ?
Any way, it may be a while before i post on this again as i have a few catchup jobs to do (DNC, Joe) and my wife still has a cast on her leg as she broke it a week before X,mas.I been run ragged by her.
I’ll do a bit as i get chance. Baz will probly have his done before me.

it would still be bullpup as the trigger is further foward than your normal talon remember so the rear of the bottle would be pretty much flush with the rear of the mechanism
the only concern is the balance if it makes the rifle too rear heavy

My oppinion is not cost effective if you calculate hours. But if you see machining as a hobby pretty cost effective. However I don’t enjoy work for other people. If I make something for myself and sell it afterwards it has a double reward. As in I got to play with it and made some cash from it afterwards.
The point is I get bored with what I made quite easily. So I have a couple of months of enjoyement from it and the I sell.
Just my $0.02! Might be different for blodnob!

I think what impresses me most, is it doesnt really look homemade. The fit is what I would expect from a big-name company. This kind of work just leaves me awed.
Is this sort of thing cost effective? What do you suppose your cost is, materials and your time combined? Not that it really matters cuz your doing it for yourself, but I am curious nonetheless.
lookin’ good, say, the rear block to hold the tank could have been able to rotate to offset the cheekpiece, and the grip could stick out to the right (if right handed) to feel better. my son will do this to his, so my arteritic old wrist won’t ache.

the air gets to the internal tank via a hard steel line tucked along the trigger group it has a compression fitting on one end, and a self built o-ring base manifold on the other. sorry for not showing things better..

Yes, but again, that wouldnt be a “Bullpup” would it? A Bullpup has the breech all the way in the rear, in the stock, so you can have more barrel in a shorter gun.
from the looks of it sean u could fit the bottle inside the stock thats would make it look amazeing 😀
Wouldnt a Bullpup have the tank going the other way? In front of the trigger group?
that is looking nice,and you are steaming ahead with it to,wont be long before you will be testing it,hey what caliber is she gona be,or did i miss that,i reckon that frame will be good for one of them .50 barrels? 😈 😈

HHMMM, this sounds familiar, i could use 2 or 3 of each common tool i use, some i do and still have trouble finding the right one 😆 .
