Q:

Bullpup options

So I am hooked on these pcp rifles! (Unfortunately the wife doesnt feel my passion 🙄 ) And with that in mind, my next purchase i would like to make is a .25 caliber rifle. I really like the bull pup design and see a lot of hype for the Edguns. Its definitely a great looking gun and seems extremely accurate from the videos I have seen. However $2000 for another rifle will be a tough nut to crack with the Mrs. So I am wondering from those of you that have experience with the bull pups, how much better is an Edgun or Cricket vs something like a bull pup Marauder that is a fraction of the price? I always believe “You get what you pay for” but is the accuracy and triggers worth the $1500 extra?
Thanks for any info.

I ordered and paid for your R3M? Are you buying from Tony? I though he only has a waiting list for R3M now.

The rifle Im looking to get also has the HDD as well as an air tube extension.
I have been told the condor .25 is a stronger rifle. Being a little new yet to pcp rifles, i am wondering with the same weight pellet and the same fill pressure shouldnt I be able to duplicate output pressure the same on each rifle creating the same fpe? Or am i simplifying this too much in my head?

Be careful of the HDD, you know why? in fact this is a great item, but been under the bolt mercy & rubbing, it will wear out soon, directly after a couple of hundred shots, or maximum 500 shots, after that you should tighten the iron ball screw, mine is stored & installed an O-Ring Mod now.

Thnaks….

My .25 does have the HDD.

I think 2500-2700 psi is the sweet spot on my .25 Marauder. If they self-tuned it as many do then its a crap shoot as to what you will get.

Ok well thats good to hear. I think I may just go ahead and buy it and see what it does. I was going to save for an Ed but for this price it may be just fine for what I need.

Found a good deal on a .25 Mrod bullpup. Just curious from those of you that own one do these rifles require 3200psi fills for optimal power and accuracy as I have read on their forum? If so I think Ill have to pass on it since I do a 3000 scuba tank for fill and avg below 3000 fills.
What do the edguns and crickets like for fill pressures?

Matador, Edgun, are all regulated and even the Bobcats can be had regulated and all 30 cal Bobcats are.

The real question is how you plan to use the 25 and what is important. Accuracy,shot count,regulated consistency,durability, ease of maintanance,looks That will move you towards what gun you should look at.

Which of these rifles comes with a regulator?

quote xbangu:

maurader rifle = $450
regulator $100 +install/tune it yourself
extention tube $100 +install it yourself
HDD etc $100 +install it yourself
Bullpup Kit $400 + install it yourself

total $1250 <– not soo cheap bullpup

Still accuracy is not match Cricket or Edgun and shot counts most likely will be less than Edgun and Cricket.

Xbangu;

you are correct, it not too cheap still, but know that PCP Bullpups are not cheap ever, this is rather good if you have no ability to spend 2K or more, the accuracy of Mrod is not bad & of course not like Edgun & cricket, see below pic, it is 5 shot group out of my Mrod at 30 mtrs, you are right if ask me why you writ 27yrds? because it was my eyes measurement, after i became to know that is 30mtr.

By the way; why your Edgun is currently dead?

Thanks….

Have you seen this? see the below link;

this is not costly, get the Altors regulators which is can be installed without drilling the air tube and not expensive also, also get the air reservoir extension for having more pressure and shot count with the regulator; here is the link;

I think you can collect inexpensive Bullpup with these,,,,

Thanks…..

I chose Kalibr. Just have to wait to get to my country. But in future I want an Edgun multishot… both are great hahaha

Don’t forget about the Evanix pups in the mix. Lots of feature and performance for the price.
I have Edguns. The 25 long version will do everything I need it to out to 200 yds.

Than again you need to take into consideration the fact that crickets can be bought from multiple sites at any give time…
Yet the edgun might be a wait…depending on we’re you live….
