Bizllionare,

Give me some details like oal of this setup, barrel length, weight as is and all the stuff plz!!! At work now so I can’t get measurements but it’s heavy, as you’d imagine. Not the best for off-hand shooting but that was never my purpose. I wanted a short, but powerful setup and bullpup was the key. Mine sort of falls into the role of benchrest, although I was going for a bird out at 167 yards just resting the Vet against my hand that was gripping a sunshade pole. I missed but not due to weight or balance but rather I guessed the distance vs using my rangefinder. Out that far everything has to be perfect. I was a mildot too low after having checked Strelok.

I went inside instead of taking another shot. It was getting hotter out so I went in and besides, I scared the birds away from that one shot. I did find out that I pretty much have 170 yards to play with using my Athlon Argos and the built-in 20moa rail of the Veteran. I have no more turret rotation beyond 170 yards but I do still have like what, 6-8 mildots as aim points so I could go out a ways further yet should I ever so choose.

This does look really nice. How it shoots and which pellet it likes and at what speed if you can. I am really looking forward to getting one of these, hopefully a Long and get to messing around with setting it up. Only used JSB Kings 25.39gr but have the 33.whatever on tap when I go that route. Shooting my 25.39 slow at about 820fps but plan to up that soon enough.

This one here is looking really nice man. I would like to think you could take a Veteran Long in .22 and if you wanted, setup a 50 pound class act bullpup. It’d still be shorter than a full-size AG being it’s a bullpup.

Would really like to hear about this one if you don’t mind? One thing I have noticed right off is how nice and low you have the scope mounted. I really like my glass setup as low as I can get it. The pic shows the cant you have inn the rings also.
You have any issues with getting your face down inline with this setup? Dang sure looks good from here 🙂

Again, the cant is in the built-in 20moa rail, not the rings. Normal Warne steel rings. Medium height. The eye relief and the Athlon is such that I have a comfortable cheek weld and have a full sight picture where it’s mounted. The Objective is 50mm so I had enough of the tapered section to fit perfectly before it hits the Vet’s picatinny rail. Sunshade is nice as I shoot up into trees with the sun at all angles throughout the day, as do we all.

My shorty’s.

Sweeeet!!!

Nice posting man! 300 fill, that awesome too and 6 mags before refill is good also. Hear you on the scope and the clarity once past 12 power.

So many scopes like that too. Doesn’t have to be either. The marketing executive’s are killing us with their bs on what they think we should be paying $$$ for things…

Posted this one a while ago in my 0033 Priest review. Did all this work off my buddy’s back deck. His garden lured in some friends. One shot was around 60 yards. The rest around 40. Scope is athelon talos 4-14 ffp. Good scope but I wouldn’t recommend it. Glass isn’t nice past 12x mag. Looks like a desert mirage. My gun has been tweaked quite a bit in terms of its spring and hammer weights. Slings king heavies at 830 fps very consistently for a full 6 mags then I recharge to 300 bar. I’d like to see more of these out in the wild, very few pictures out there.

You guys that have posted up the pic’s of the awesome stuff here, it would be neat if you guys would add a little text with it telling us about it…

Like barrel length and caliber, scope brand and power range and rings size and brand, what pellet you and the setup like and its speed and or energy level… Any other things of interest you thing we might like to know. Maybe like rigged out weight, bipod if you do, brand of barrel, ldc style size whatever…

What you guys think? I think it would really add to the pics!

Same here FM, I was lucky and got $1000 for my M-Rod. Boyds stock LW barrel and lots more went with it. But it was plagued with POI problems.

Hi Mike,

I had to switch my Mutant Short 22 barrel out because I dropped it and the coupling connecting the barrel and OEM LDC bent (couldn’t bend back). Can’t shoot it without an LDC, it’s way too loud. I tried to find a replacement coupling or LDC, No-one was able to help me. Ernest really helped me out on the FX barrel. It shoots better than my unknown barrel, and with the Weihrauch, it’s quieter than the OEM LDC.

Thanks,

Budlee

My .25 Vulcan.. currently with Ernest.

Gen 1 with all the updates.. Stock modded for adjustable butt, side lever, gen 4 shroud now etc. Absolute gem.

And my old Marauder .25 Bullpup… sold this bad boy for $1200.00 to fund the Vulcan .. well worth the sale imo. The gun was tuned to 22 shots @2% w 31gr Cudas @ avg of 898fps with NO reg when I sold it .. Very accurate but classic Mrod P.O.I. shifts… :/

There’s some nice looking guns on here.

Budlee
What caliber is that? and why did you change barrels??
I can not tell if that is a standard or a shorty,
Bizill You got one sick looking Veteran there,
Mike
