Q:

Bushnell 4200 Elete Minimun focus

I was ready to order a Bushnell Elete 4200 6-24X40 side focus till I noticed that the min focus was 25 yards. I want to shoot in my basement this winter. I can set up a 12 yard range in my basement. I also get a few 15-20 yards backyard shots. Will the Bushnell focus down to 12 yards at lower mags?

I also see that Bushnell makes a 4200 Elete 6-24X50 side focus. Is the glass in it as good as the 6-24X40 and can it be used at 12 yards?

I can’t imagine what a PCP could do to kill a scope! I mean, It’s not like it has a double recoil like a springer. They must have super crappy build quality. 😯

Thanks guys. I have had a couple of hawke 6-24X56 Sidewinder 30 SR12 scopes. My Edgun eats them. The Hawke that I have now is having POI issues. I can get it zeroed in and after another 20-30 shots, the POI moves left or right about an inch at 32 yards.
If I could get one to work, I would be happy. It focuses down to 10 yards, has clear optics and I love the SR12 reticle.

I like the Bushnell 6-24X40 and I guess that I will have to find one at a shop to see if it will focus at shorter yards at a lower mag. I also like the 6-24X50 as it has the target turrents.

I looked at the bushy 4200 in the gun shop and it was fine at at ten yards.

But it wasnt a side focus model, I dont know if there is a difference.

Yes, they will focus down much closer at lower mag’s. The top of the line Nikko is made in Japan. The lower line is made in China. BUT the top end Nikko is well over 800.00 now. For that kind of money you can go Leupold or Ziess! The front focus Bushys will focus down lower than the side focus. They are very popular in fieldl target and HAVE to be able to focus down. 😉

I have been thinking about the new 6200 series Bushy Tactical. Yeah Baby!!! 😀

It’s sound like you wanted a big good scope. Have you try or look at the “Nikko Stirling 10-50×60 Diamond”? I owned 2 of these scope, they’re awesome and well made, I know these scopes made in China, but it’s very high quality scope but heavy 😆

I got 1 NATO and 1 Mil-Dot, both scopes are outstanding for the money and good for your basement (short/long range).

Key Features:

* Magnification of the target 10 up to 50 times
* Japanese camera quality lenses
* Optical coatings throughout
* Saddle focus system
* Large side wheel for accurate speed focusing
* Target adjustments
* Rubber enhanced zoom ring
* Oversized objective lens and 30mm body for maximum light transfer

To obtain 1 of this scope, I found SWFA has best price and good service.
