Can a SS get any quieter?
Just wondering if there is anything I can do to hush it up a little..My pigeons are getting a wee bit smarter now, after a few shots they all fly off now..first 2 nights I got about 25 birds..tonight..only 6.. 😥

I got the Don G unit smilar but smaller in size as the silver one above…really keeps her quiet, on my TSS worth the price.
I had to quiet a Condor down for the same reason and went with a short shroud that really did the job for me. There are a couple of fellows that are making these but you can get ahold of Don G at PM shrpshotr28 or Don G donguthormsen@gmail.com
Use a micro-tank from airforce, less power is less noise. May be domes or pointed pellets will be quieter. I put this stuff in mine from the Home Despot:
What JFK said is spot on. CP’s make a big whacking sound.
If you want to make your gun quieter put some baffles in and make a 4″ extention and baffle that also. It will be very quiet.
I would think that the sound of the pellet hitting their buddies is whats scaring them more than the sound of the gun itself. Even if you completely eliminated the sound of the gun, that pellet impact is still loud.
