can I use 24" condor barrel for talon body?
I want to buy talon body and use 24″ .22 condor barrel also put standart air tank.
does install 24″ condor barrel into talon body will decrease the performance or it make no difference?
my reason is
I like condor performance but I don’t like the body because it is too long for me, I like the gun that is compact enough.
I plan to have .177 18″ barrel, .177 12″ barrel and .22 24″ also .25 24″barrel that I will use it for my talon body.
can anyone here help me about my idea?
thanks
markus

Etacreg 2000psi for .22 very consistent and maybe 50 shots all good from shot 1 to shot 50.
Etacreg 2500psi for .25 very consistent and maybe 40 shots all good from shot 1 to shot 40.
There is no better trigger to buy, but you can do work yourself to make the trigger better, see the reference section.
I can see why it would happen though. My experience is limited to Crowmags and Crosman pellets which appear to fit pretty well into the barrel.
All these rifles are pretty different even if they are the same model. 😉
Imagine what kind of shot count you’d get running a 24″ .177 with the EtacReg! 😯
I started at 177 because I didn’t think these air rifles would produce enough velocity for 22 caliber pellets… 😕 😳
Now i’m running a .25 caliber barrel and looking for heavier pellets! 😆
please, can you inform me how much shot you get with e-tac installed?
i’m interesting to buy it if it really give me advantage over tuned AF.
2 years ago when I got my .22 24″condor from mac-1. I got roughtly about 40 shot, but I’m not chrono all of the shot because i’m too exited to shot it, but one shot that I chrono is about 850fps with eun jin pellet.
but when i re fill it I found that first shot likely no power (the hammer spring not enough energy to open the valve), then after a few shot it become so smooth and consistent.
I hope that e-tac will solve this problem? and with e-tac can I use any standart bottle? not necessary tuned bottle?
also can e-tac handle .25 cal?
other question where is can I get better trigger unit to replace original af trigger? like record trigger at HW, I feel that Af trigger is so rought.
really appriciate with any people here give me any info and good discuss
😀 Ah, not trying to contradict ya, Pab… Just tossing out my experiences before I got the .25 installed!

I have not encountered this on my TalonSS with a .177 cal 24″ barrel… I have gone from .117 to .22 to .25 and back at 24″ and never had any issues with a tank dump on two different Talon tanks. 😉
If your shooting tight pellets you may encounter a tank dump with the long barrels.
You can also use a Condor tank and valve if you add a hammer weight (about $10 from AirForce). 😉 😉 😉
Purely going on a few others accounts Syn’, I don’t shoot .177 with the AF myself, though it makes perfect sense that it would dump. Its a tiny calibre barrel, the back pressure must be pretty immense at the point of firing. Though those with actual experience with it are the best ones to listen to Markus :thumb:

OK, my idea is just use talon frame and use a few caliber barrel for it.
I think I will buy second hand talon with .177 18 inch barrel and buy another barrel .22 and .25 next for swap.
I think I will use standart tank only not condor tank that boost too much air.
Just skip it and go .25 i wish i did.
my reason to have a few cal is because a lot of variation animal here, and only .177 cal pellets I can buy here, .22 and .25 will import directly because prohibited here.

Only thing you ned to be aware of is the .177 barrel may require a stronger spring in the valve to prevent an air dump…
You can use a 24″ barrel in a Talon frame but you will still have a rifle just as long as a Condor…it will increase velocity significantly….
You can put any barrel in any AF frame as long as the bushings are there.
Doesn’t matter what length barrel you use, as long as you attach the bushings to the barrel, it will be fine. I am using a 24″ .25 barrel in a short frame.

I just bought a 18 inch 177 barrel , I only used it with C02 so far . but I called airforce to get some bushings for it and asked them about dumping.
They said yes. that is correct . it needs a differnt spring in the valve .
so they said they could change it , But then you lose a few FPS when useing it with a .22
So Im going to try it with a 2000 psi fill . I dont know if it will dump or not .
otherwise Im going to buy a new bottle for it .
