Can I use the 24" TT shroud on my 18" barrel?
Or will I be running into problems? Don’t want to destroy the shroud.

To make sure that the shroud is perfectly centered in bore line with the barrel, do this. (It’s what I do and I haven’t shot the end of my shroud off 😯 and I don’t have clipping issues. 😀 )
Use a carbon fiber rod such as these (they need to be at least 24” long)

Using the carbon fiber rod you will accomplish two things; One the carbon fiber rod will much straighter than any kind of metal rod or tube. Second, you don’t run the risk of scratching the inside of the barrel.
Wooden dowel rods won’t work either. They are not straight enough nor are they perfectly round.
Install your shroud but don’t tighten the set screw(s). Insert the rod into the shroud/barrel so that about 6” sticks out of the shroud. Carefully inspect and adjust the shroud so that you have equal spacing around the rod as it protrudes from the end of the shroud. Gently tighten the set screw(s) while adjusting the spacing of the end of the shroud around the rod. It will be merely fractional millimeters so take your time.
When you think you’ve got it set, remove the rod and re-insert it into the barrel through the shroud. Re-inspect. Adjust again as necessary.
Check periodically particularly if the shroud gets bumped.

Oakey, no clippping at all. The reason why I fitted the shroud was that original silencer was clipping so I took that off and tested the shroud-accuracy went back to normal.

I’ve used my Airhog shroud on my Talon with 12″ and 18″ barrels and it works well.

You will have no barrel bushing lining up the barrel with the shroud when using the 18″ barrel.
The tolerances AF uses are pretty lose so when you tighten all the screws your barrel is not going to be in the center of the frame.
IMO you might run into issues when the pellet leaves the barrel as it has a longer distance to travel through the baffles thus allowing the pellet a chance to be moved slightly off center as pellets can spiral but this is just my two cents on it there maybe others who know a little more 😀

I usually check alignment of shroud from the back. remove tank and breech. Just see it through the barrel and slowly turn the shroud, when it’s perfect center, tight the set screw. double check again.
But I guess it is still risk to use 24″ shroud on short barrel. The pellets travel too long in the shroud.
