you cant take it out, because the air tube has a hole on it (the reg vent hole) so it would not fill if the reg was out. you can disable it though by overadjusting it.
not sure what it will do though, I guess it will have a bell curve like all unregulated guns or even valve lock at full fill.
by taking out the reg and blanking off the whole you can maximize the plenum. will give max power but for not many shots.

Actually I wouldn’t even want a bell curve, I want my 1st shot to be my most powerful and than a descending string from there, also I don’t ever target shoot, so shot count don’t mean much to me, 20 or so good shots are plenty in my game.

Dang Manny, You are one hog killin’ machine! I like it!!! My pig hunting grounds have been flooded most of the year due to unusual rainfall so I haven’t even been out hunting them…

Keep killin’ Brother!! I just got a Vulcan from Tony and I am going to try it out with some Polymags. If it shoots ’em OK, I’ll go pig huntin’ with them. Will post results if good.. 🙂

There you go, Thanks Wing great info.

So I could sell the regulator and invest that money in a sleeve, a new Hammer and and Hammerspring 😀 😀 😀

Hey Manny.. short answer is yes you can, you can make a sleeve with a double o ring to seal off the vent hole in both the vulcan and the cricket. The problem is that the valves and hammer springs are designed to operate at 130 bar so they wont have the punch to open without the reg in place as you will have the full pressure acting on your valve.
A heavier hammer and hst is needed to achieve what you have in mind 🙂

Pirate do you mean shoot them without a regulator? No, the valve that opens and closes is a vital part of the regulator and firing system.
