Can you tone it down a bit?
I have been seriously thinking about a Talon SS, but I really like that slim tank on the Talon P and then I read the thread about using the longer paint ball tanks for the Talon P, that really got me going.
My problem is that 95% of the shooting I do, 20FPE or less is more than enough. I could get a Talon SS and have one of the guys at work make me an adapter so I could put my valve on a paint ball tank and be able to have the long slim tank and the power range for .177. When I “need” more power, I could switch out tanks, valves, etc. and thin out the tree rat population some.
I guess my question here is, can you tone the Talon P down by maybe changing the valve stem to a different one or some other little trick and get the power down to where you can stick a .177 barrel in it and not overpower the little pellet?
Does anybody understand what I am trying to say?

Maybe this will help…
I bought a Condor .22. Polished and ported the valve stem for a little better performNce but then decided to order a 12″ x .177 barrel from TT. I didn’t realize the hi-flo valve was supposed to be to much for the .177 so I just made it work.
I continue to use my polished/ported valve BUT, I re-arranged the Condor hammer weight to forward of the spring. That gave me a lighter hammer, Talon equivalent, with just a tad more preload than a stock Condor.
It works. I love it and haven’t gone back to the .22 barrel.
