cant chose Talon or Condor
I went with Condor as for the little extra money I would not have any regrets or second thoughts.
I tuned up and I tuned down. I’d say if you like to tinker there is nothing better than a Condor.
If you only want to develope your shooting skills I would suggest you read more about the other Airguns available and note that they all will have some sort of problems over time if used regularly.
Airguns are superior to powder burners as far as needing little cleaning to keep in tune and they are by far less expensive to buy or make ammo for.

Tsakua , why would you want a vendor to sell you a new gun with the barrel removed ? Are you saying that you want the barrel but not attached
to the gun or are you saying you want to buy the gun without the barrel at all ? I do not know any vendor that would sell you a gun without the
barrel , legally that would void any warranty and also illegal for any vendor to sell that way because the barrel is registered to each gun sold .
That would be like going to a car dealership and saying you want to buy a new car but you do not want the engine . So mabe you should buy
yourself a sling shot until you can figure out what you want . You can find ball bearings in .22 caliber to shoot it with .

Some of tinkering could be buying new parts, but it’s really about finding the pressures, pellets and power wheel settings that work best in your gun – finding the sweet spots where you maximize accuracy (or power, if that’s what you’re after) without wasting air.

Talon or TSS in .22 should be enough if you found the .25 mrod too much. They are both accurate enough. The talon has an 18″ barrel vs the 12″ TSS barrel which will provide higher max velocity.
Talon is fine, until you want to start lobbing 50gr lead slugs down range. I was planing to get a talon ss, until AoA didn’t have any in stock when I got Phoenix. So I got the condor ss with no regrets. :biggrinn:
Both great and more than capable of terminating crows. Condor is probably best. If you line the crows up, you can drop two with one pellet.
IMO To tinker is to go beyond the basic instruction manual and to draw upon your knowledge and experiences with other products or devices to solve problems for yourself or with the help of others that have faced the same or similar problems.
Give Tony @ TalonTunes a call, he can build a gun to your needs, totally turn key, all you have to do is shoot it.

You can remove the barrel by taking the two screws on the side and the bottom out(one’s underneath the foregrip, so that will need to be removed as well), removing the end cap, and pulling/pushing the barrel until you can slide it out. If you can do this while you are out of Asia, it would be the easiest route, because I don’t know anybody who will remove the barrel before they sell it to you.
