Q:

Carbon fiber on shroud?

I just bought me an extra shroud to go on my 22/25 Cricket, Can someone point me in the right direction to install Carbon fiber on it,
I have looked on Ebay just not sure of the size tube, Or should I try a wrap ?
Just looking at some of the Crickets that have the Carbon fiber on them looks very good,
Thanks
Mike

I have a bunch of 3M wrap so send on  , the only problem is the fact that I live on the other side of the world so shipping would not be worth it.

Cricket that looks awesome!maybe I’ll just send mine to you for a professional job.

O no I have already tried to ship to asgard.
It does not work, :butkick:

Hey Mike, what shroud is this, any link? I have a compact on the way

I got the shroud in
I must have had a brain fart, Went back and read the add, and sure enough its for a short Cricket,
Its only 8 1/2 inches long, I may see about making a LDC out of it.. And then put the Carbon fiber wrap on it,,
And Cricket you gun looks SICK,, (new way of saying bad ass)

Thanks Greg! It is actually easier than you would think, I have no doubt Mike can achieve just as good of a result. All you really do is make sure to get the right length of wrap and avoid air bubbles and you are good to go. I simply cut lengths of wrap, made them smaller and smaller until they fit between the clamps and what not until the whole barrel/shroud/airtube had no more space left.

Then of course you have the end/muzzle bit of the shroud, there I made a circle the size of the endcap with bits going out (think of a star where the main body is a circle) then folded the circles arms in on the shroud and after that a big piece of wrap to finish the shroud of, if that makes any sense to you. Just trying to help :fishinghole:

Yep, yep that’s bad ass alright the best CF wrap I’ve seen done so far.

Man that’s nice work Cricket !!

Here are a few odd pics of mine before I refinished my stock with wrap on it. The girl on one of them is my little sister. If you go with wrap like I did then don’t cheap out and order china wrap, it comes all creased and banged up and it is VERY sticky so when you remove it in the future you will need alcohol to get rid of the sticky residue left behind. Just get some quality 3M or similar.
