Q:

carbon fiber tank vs 130 CF steel tank?

Just curious if anyone has experienced both tanks when it comes to refilling stations.

Currently I own a 4500 psi 88 CF tank and a plain scuba aluminum tank that fills to 3000 psi.

What seems to be the better deal long term?

IIRC they’re both 15 year life span. IDK how much lighter the C.F. is over the Alu.

That tank looks nice for the money. I’m in need of one bad, but funds are empty right now. When the time comes, its gonna be that one or the carbon fiber. I suppose if it’s going to remain stationary, the weight won’t matter. The aluminum one will outlast the carbon fiber one, correct?

AFAIK this http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-200/043201/XS-Scuba-106-Cubic-Foot-Aluminum-Hoop-Wrap-Tank.html gives more fills than any “Scuba” tank on the market.

My guess would be more 3000psi fills
