Casting for the Ranger 45

For those who are casting for the big bores, what alloy do you find the best. I’m waiting for my Ranger 45 and thought I might get my little ducks in a row. I have plenty of WW metal and some pure lead. I have just received some 40-1 alloy I ordered. I hope some of the harder alloy’s will work best because they fill out my molds better. I just don’t know anything about the breech of these guns as to seating the harder bullets and such.

SOFTER works better , i am using 7 and it works great
